We travelled south on
Hwy 35 from Bangkok to Hua Hin where the King now resides, stopping at
the Samut Sakhorn . It is a busy port is the main town where fish and
other seafood is supplied to the Bangkok area. Drove through the
thinnest part of Thailand peninsula which is a mere 10.6 km wide at the
Burmese border in the province Pra Chuap. The road was excellent, the
sea food was delicious. We explore the charming beaches, fishing
villages and local floras and faunas.
Kaeng Krachan is the largest National Park in Thailand. We photographed
Great Hornbills, Brown Hornbills nesting on the road up to top of the
mountain road. It has the first earth dam built 44 years ago. The water
is now used to irrigate land around the province.
